RTC Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist Position | Full-time W-2 | Atlanta, GA
About The Position
Laurel Heights Hospital provides residential treatment programs for children and adolescents (ages 7 and up) who present with severe and complex psychiatric and behavioral difficulties that impact multiple areas of functioning. Adolescent patients reside in separate treatment units designated by age, gender, and treatment needs. This ensures that programming will meet our residents’ specific developmental needs and individualized treatment issues. Through our Discovery and Declaration Programs, Laurel Heights Hospital provides highly specialized residential treatment for boys ages 7–17 who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, and who demonstrate severe behavioral difficulties and psychiatric illnesses.
Requirements
- Board Certified in General Psychiatry
- Must have interest and experience with autism spectrum disorders and treating ages 6 - 17 years old for cross coverage and call
- Active or eligible GA license
- Active DEA
Nice To Haves
- Board Certified in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry preferred
Responsibilities
- Admission evaluations and assessments
- Managing treatment teams
- Overseeing discharge processes
- Performing related administrative tasks
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and support staff
- Document care using HCS
