About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will deliver a high level of customer service to all customers at the highest professional level. This role involves performing various maintenance activities for clients, including but not limited to tile work, plumbing, electrical repairs, and drywall patching. The technician is expected to manage work orders, communicate effectively with clients and the office, maintain a clean work area, and adhere to company standards and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum Skills: Basic ceramic tile experience (remove floor or wall tile and grout). Basic plumbing skills (e.g., replace faucets, unclog toilets). Basic electrical skills (e.g., light bulb replacement, replace outlets). Basic wall repair skills (e.g., cut out and patch drywall and texture). Ability to troubleshoot electrical or mystery leaks. Ability to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Ability to perform preventative maintenance work as required. Communication skills with dispatch/office. Understanding and use of different check-in/check-out requirements for each client. Ability to understand NTE’s and work with Project Administrator/Service Coordinator in getting increases when necessary. Wall repairs such as patching drywall and matching texture. Light painting from complete wall or touch ups. Basic knowledge and installation practices for FRP.
  • Education & Experience: 3 to 5 years maintenance trade experience in a like industry such as property management, hospitality, retail, or restaurant facility services.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Maintenance Activities for Clients: Call client location in advance for all work orders. Ensure necessary tools and paperwork are present. Introduce yourself to the store manager or MOD and explain the reason for the visit. Secure the job area if leaving to purchase materials. Request a PO number for material purchases. Clean up the work area before leaving. Speak with the store manager or MOD before leaving to explain work done or remaining. Obtain before and after photos of all work performed. Get SM or MOD signature on paperwork. Call the office to inform when each job is completed. Turn in paperwork daily with necessary information and pictures.
  • Teamwork, Standards, Expectations: Establish effective working relationships with employees. Accept on-call rotation when assigned. Maintain basic tools to perform the job description. Work well with others and independently. Work with Project Manager when necessary. Maintain exceptional customer service skills. Complete job tickets and mileage logs accurately. Record the use of truck stock. Follow guidelines to protect the interest and safety of all employees and the organization. Wear company-provided uniforms and proper work boots. Present a professional manner: no foul language, limited cell phone use, be prepared for work. Inform client when the task is completed or when leaving the job site. Park company vehicles properly. Maintain a clean work area. Do not block aisles, traffic lanes, fire exits, stairs, etc. Use appropriate tools and personal protective equipment. Know the correct use of hand and power tools. Inspect ladders before use.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot electrical issues and mystery leaks. Determine work requirements and sequence of repairs/installations. Perform preventative maintenance work as required. Understand and use client-specific check-in/check-out requirements. Understand NTEs and work with Project Administrator/Service Coordinator for increases. Perform wall repairs such as patching drywall and matching texture. Perform light painting. Install FRP.
