About The Position
The Battery Changing Operator supports QVC and helps maintain safe, efficient operations by ensuring they change, charge, and ready all Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) batteries for use. This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Florence, SC facility daily.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of training.
- Current MHE certification for all required Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment.
- Work overtime, nights, and weekends to support operational demands.
- Repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and maintaining an organized work environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Change, charge, and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) batteries while keeping the battery‑changing area clean and operational.
- Operate different PIT equipment including fork trucks, TSPs, PEs, RRs, RCs, scissor lifts, boom lifts, one‑person lifts, and electric floor sweepers.
- Help with basic facility repairs and help maintain the appearance and functionality of the building.
- Support general housekeeping, trash removal, and recycling across all facility areas.
- Help with indoor and outdoor facility events.
- Follow all company safety and security procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
