About The Position

Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Battery Shop Technician to repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers and to manage the shop at our Lexington, SC location. Manufacturers, warehouses, and distribution centers across NC and SC rely on Carolina Industrial Products to power their electric forklift fleet by providing a premium line of industrial batteries and chargers. Requirements

• Mechanical / electrical aptitude
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical DOT
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and likes things to be clean
• Exceptional critical thinking skills
• Able to work independently
• Able to follow safety protocols

Nice To Haves

• Electrical and forklift experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers
• Manage the shop
• Handle incoming and outgoing batteries and chargers
• Perform battery evaluations to determine repairs or if a customer needs a new battery
• Keep the shop clean and create a positive environment
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet batteries as well as customer batteries
• Keep up with incoming and outgoing work
• Make repairs
• Keep things flowing
