About The Position

Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Battery Room Technician to oversee the change out of industrial forklift batteries for an around the clock forklift operation. This opportunity also includes management of the battery room to ensure industrial batteries and chargers are maintained to ensure our customers are able to run around the clock. Manufacturers, warehouses, and distribution centers across NC and SC rely on Carolina Industrial Products to power their electric forklift fleet by providing a premium line of industrial batteries and chargers. Requirements

• Mechanical/electrical aptitude
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and likes things to be clean
• Exceptional critical thinking skills
• Able to work independently
• Able to follow safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Oversee the change out of industrial forklift batteries.
• Manage the battery room.
• Maintain industrial batteries and chargers.
• Handle incoming and outgoing batteries and chargers.
• Perform battery evaluations as they are changed out.
• Keep the battery room clean.
• Make repairs to batteries and chargers.
• Ensure customers are kept up and running.
