Battery Service Technician (Road Technician)
About The Position
Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Battery Service Technician to repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers in the field. The starting pay for this position is $20-$24/hour plus a company vehicle with potential increases regularly. We also offer generous benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 9 paid holidays, paid vacation time, 40 hours of paid sick time each year, and a SIMPLE IRA plan with match. As mentioned, our Battery Service Technicians also have access to a service truck and are provided with uniforms. Manufacturers, warehouses, and distribution centers across NC and SC rely on Carolina Industrial Products to power their electric forklift fleet by providing a premium line of industrial batteries and chargers. Requirements
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service skills
- Exceptional critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to follow safety protocols
Nice To Haves
- Electrical and forklift experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers in the field.
