About The Position

General Motors is hiring a Battery Lab Test Systems Engineer for its Lab System Integration Engineering (LSIE) team. The role supports the Global Battery Systems Lab (GBSL), Wallace Battery Cell Innovation Center (WBCIC), and Root Cause Warranty Center (RWC) at the Warren Technical Center in Michigan. The position manages the labs’ software ecosystem and automation platforms, enabling safe and efficient testing across more than 100 battery test beds. It focuses on test PC environments, deployment and automation systems, metrics pipelines, and integration with enterprise platforms and analytics workflows. The engineer designs and standardizes back-end environments, deployment pipelines, Windows test-fleet automation, and metrics pipelines. The role uses enterprise automation tools to provision test systems, manage fleets, deploy software, coordinate environment changes, maintain configuration and change records, and align site practices with enterprise standards. The position is onsite at the Warren Technical Center, with direct engagement with lab operations, test systems, and partner teams. Weekend or off-shift support may be needed for planned changes and high-priority software issues.
