Learn more at concentricusa.com. The Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing motive power equipment. This position conducts basic troubleshooting, field and shop repairs, and responds to customer needs. This position typically reports to a Service Manager or a Lead Technician and has no direct reports.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus but not required.
  • May be required to pass additional requirements under the Department of Transportation (DOT).
  • Working knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical/electronic theory.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime.
  • Travel daily, some overnight travel required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a technical school focused on electrical, mechanical repair or battery maintenance preferred.
  • Associate degree from an approved two-year college or university, preferred or equivalent experience.
  • CDL a plus but not required.
  • Experience in material handling environment is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Work safely, follow all safety regulations, including site specific safety regulations established by customers.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Coordinate problem resolution with Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Travel to other branches or sites, as required, to assist with product installation, removal or repairs (some overnight travel will be required).
  • Comply with company policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT and Hazmat.
  • Build strong relationships with customers.
  • Take ownership of all company assets, including but not limited to vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot battery and charger systems.
  • Perform repairs at customer locations and Concentric shops.
  • Respond to client needs in a timely manner, while applying great customer service.
  • Complete all service orders, PM worksheets, timecards, expense reports, and any documentation as required, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work independently or with a team in a professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
