About The Position

This role involves performing batching functions, communicating with central dispatch regarding daily driver and equipment status, maintaining inventory levels, and operating plant processing equipment. The operator may enforce company policies related to operations, safety, and the environment, and may provide work direction to the workforce at assigned locations. Responsibilities also include timely and accurate reporting of key performance indicators. The job location is in Waxahachie, TX, with Mansfield being the closest stationary location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch environment experience.
  • Proficiency with dispatch systems, personal computers, telephones, and telephone headsets.
  • Basic computer and mathematics skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb on equipment, stairs, and ladders as needed.
  • Ability to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground conditions) and in enclosed spaces.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and overnights.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators.
  • Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Perform batching function using computer or manual controls, ensuring proper product mix and making necessary raw material and moisture adjustments.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to complete customer orders, schedule deliveries, complete paperwork, and perform small plant maintenance.
  • Operate a front-end loader or other material handling equipment to charge the plant with aggregate, sand, or other materials.
  • Provide leadership and/or guidance to less experienced employees on more complex or heavier assignments.
  • Coordinate work to ensure timely completion of plant tasks in order of priority.
  • Train new employees.
  • Ensure that safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit safety-conscious behaviors.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
