About The Position

The PT Basketball Scorekeeper/Site Supervisor is responsible for accurate reporting of game scores as well as enforcing both league rules and Park District policies and ordinances. Additional duties include but are not limited to, monitoring weeknight practices to ensure the safety of all participants, court and scoreboard set up, ensuring games start on time, acting as liaison between teams and referees, completing incident, accident and ejection/protest forms, trash pickup between games, and notifying supervisor of any concerns. This is an at-will position.

Requirements

• High School students and older
• Individuals able to obtain a work permit
• Strong people and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, staff and the public
• Attentive to detail
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to act calmly and efficiently under pressure or in difficult situations
• Ability to work independently
• Project a professional attitude and appearance
• Assert authority when needed

Nice To Haves

• HS graduate or equivalent preferred but not required
• First Aid/CPR/AED certified highly desired (GEPD will provide this training when needed)
