About The Position

The YMCA is seeking a Basketball Referee to officiate adult basketball league games in Flemington, New Jersey, during the fall season. The position is part-time and hourly, with work scheduled Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Compensation is $18 to $22 per hour.

The referee will officiate 4v4 full-court adult basketball league games professionally, fairly, and consistently. The role involves enforcing league rules, managing game flow, tracking fouls and violations, maintaining player safety, promoting good sportsmanship, and communicating effectively with players, coaches, and league staff so games remain organized and on schedule.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have strong basketball knowledge.
• Must be confident making calls and able to handle competitive adult league environments.

Nice To Haves

• Previous officiating experience is preferred.
