About The Position
Athletes Global is seeking an experienced and dedicated coach for the Basketball & Speed Training Summer Camp in Williamsburg, VA. This program focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of basketball, incorporating daily nutritional education, and providing mentoring activities in decision-making, leadership, communication skills, self-image, and team building. The role requires the ability to commute to the specified location and commit to the entire camp duration.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in basketball.
- 1+ years in teaching/coaching/instructing students.
- Transportation.
- Ability to create fun activities/lesson plans to engage students.
Responsibilities
- Coach basketball and speed training to students.
- Implement daily nutritional education.
- Conduct mentoring activities focusing on decision-making, leadership, communication skills, self-image, and team building.
- Create fun activities and lesson plans to engage students.
- Focus on shooting mechanics, one-on-one moves, playing defense, ball handling, passing, guard footwork, big man footwork, nutrition, quick feet and hands, explosive first step, improved balance and stability, increased vertical leap, agility & speed training, and fitness circuits.
- Arrive early to prepare and stay late to clean up.
- Attend paid training sessions.
