About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and experienced After School Instructor to lead our Basketball program for 6th and 7th graders. This role involves teaching fundamental basketball skills and sportsmanship in an after-school setting. The instructor will be responsible for planning and executing engaging lessons that cater to the specified grade levels.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching or instructing basketball.
- Knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Ability to work with middle school-aged children (6th-7th grade).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to create and lead engaging activities.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an after-school program setting.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct basketball classes for 6th and 7th graders.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills, rules, and strategies.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all participants.
