About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Basketball Instructor to lead after-school programs for students in grades K-5. This role involves teaching fundamental basketball skills, promoting teamwork, and ensuring a fun and safe environment for participants. The program runs on Fridays from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with classes taking place in September and October.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching or instructing basketball.
- Ability to work with elementary school-aged children (K-5th grade).
- Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to create a fun and positive learning atmosphere.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in after-school programs.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct basketball classes for K-5th grade students.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills, rules, and strategies.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior.
- Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Manage class time effectively to meet program objectives.
