About The Position
BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring an enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic After-School Basketball Coach to lead engaging basketball programs for elementary-aged students in Chicago, IL. This is a great opportunity for a basketball coach, former player, teacher, youth sports instructor, camp counselor, college student, or anyone passionate about basketball and working with children. The position is part-time, after-school, with sessions running from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, 1.5 hours per session. No lesson planning is required as the curriculum and equipment are provided. The program focuses on developing basketball fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and leadership in students.
Requirements
- Basketball playing or coaching experience preferred but not required
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Comfortable working with elementary-aged students
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Reliable transportation to the program location
- Must successfully complete the required background check process
