About The Position

Eagle Ridge Academy is seeking Middle School Basketball Coaches (boys and girls) to direct, support, and fully implement the assigned High School Activity Program with an education-based philosophy of teaching and coaching. The coach will instruct all participants in the fundamental skills and strategies of basketball to help them achieve individual and team success. The season runs from November to March, with opportunities for camps and clinics in other seasons. A stipend is available. Requirements

Proven knowledge and experience necessary to coach the activity.
Good communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Head coaching license/certificate or meet the MSHSL requirements to be a head coach.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise a total program K-12.
Previous head coaching experience and substantial knowledge base in assigned activity.
Proven ability to work with middle school & high school aged students modeling positive character and responsible behavior.
Commitment to continuous improvement.
Fundraising and/or public speaking.
Confidence teaching the assigned activity.
