About The Position

To conduct segments of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Initial and Renewal courses for residents, physicians, employees, and participants from outside the organization. This position will teach basic life support classes for Fairview employees across the Fairview Health System, and for outside participants to maintain certifications in accordance with published American Heart Association (AHA) instructor content and guidelines.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) or Instructor Trainer

• 2 years of healthcare and instructional experience

Responsibilities

• Teach basic life support classes for Fairview employees and outside participants to maintain certifications in accordance with published American Heart Association (AHA) instructor content and guidelines.
• Instruct and test multi-disciplinary staff knowledge and skills as related to the content being provided.
• Prepare materials and complete necessary documentation for staff attending classes as required by the course coordinator and/or supporting organizational guidelines.
• Clean and support maintaining and transporting equipment utilized for training as needed.
• Establish and maintain a welcoming, encouraging, and professional learning environment.
