Baseband Hardware Design Engineer

Apple•Sunnyvale, CA

About The Position

Apple is seeking a Baseband Hardware Design Engineer to join the Hardware Technology group and help design the next generation of Apple products. The role is part of a team responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and integration of baseband systems across Apple products. The team handles the digital and power-management domains of wireless chipsets from concept through product announcement. The position focuses on main logic board system design for wireless chipsets, bench-level system design verification, wireless system integration, and power-management design and validation. It also involves timing-device and eSIM architecture and integration, high- and low-speed digital interfaces, signal and power integrity simulation, wireless coexistence problem solving, and failure analysis throughout the design cycle. Designs span development platforms and high-volume consumer products, from concept to mass production. The engineer will collaborate closely with other engineering groups, including Apple SoC, battery, sensors, and iOS teams, and is expected to maintain an understanding of the broader product landscape. Some international travel may be required when approved.
