About The Position

HeliService USA is seeking an entry level A&P licensed Base Mechanic for our company operations in Beaumont, TX. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and airworthiness of the aircraft fleet supporting Sabine Harbor Pilot Transfers. As a Base Mechanic, you will serve as an on-site technician, ensuring all maintenance activities meet FAA regulations, company standards, and customer expectations. You will work with a team of mechanics, coordinate daily workloads, and collaborate closely with pilots, to ensure aircraft are mission-ready around the clock. This position requires a strong learning ability, communication, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence in a high-tempo, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Possess an active Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • Must be physically able to push/pull/lift, unload, and maneuver heavy equipment and/or luggage in excess of 70 pounds for extended periods of time; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, climbing, balancing, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time in aircraft cargo holds and baggage bins.
  • The employee must have sufficient hearing and vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
  • Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on policies, procedures, and developments as well as to meet all company compliance standards.
  • Employment at HeliService USA is contingent on successful completion of training and release to the line by the Base Lead and Director of Maintenance at the completion of the required line training period.
  • Pre-employment drug screening must be completed and approved in accordance with DOT/FAA regulations prior to hire.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as a member of their respective program’s team to promote a successful operation.
  • Responsible for daily operations and performance of program maintenance services. This individual is responsible for carrying out the mission, goals, and objectives of their respective program and HeliService USA.
  • Ensures that aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable CFRs and company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for correcting compliance or safety issues when directed.
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge of this General Maintenance Manual, HeliService USA policies and procedures, as well as meeting operational goals and objectives.
  • Ensures discrepancies are appropriately addressed.
  • Actively participates in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform daily and periodic inspections, and repair and maintenance of engines and airframe on aircraft as required by FAA regulations and HSUSA directives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
