About The Position

To support the Summit Bechtel Reserve through exceptional facility care, logistical coordination, and residential services that enable safe, clean, and welcoming environments for all programs, guests, and staff.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18+
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain Summit Driving Permit
2+ years of leading teams
Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines

Nice To Haves

2+ years of Summit employment
Scouting/Camping experience
Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
High emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)
Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds

Responsibilities

Oversee Base Camp daily operations, staff supervision, and departmental asset management
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of Base Camp staff
Set up and manage Base Camp HQ, seasonal offices, and Staff Camp logistics
Maintain camp cleanliness, supply inventory, and proper waste disposal procedures
Enforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of vehicles and equipment
Support smooth arrival/departure operations and provide responsive service to all guests and staff
Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
