About The Position

Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), a Crete United Company, specializes in building automation and temperature controls. The company is seeking BAS Controls Technicians with experience in installation, startup, troubleshooting, or commissioning, including experience with Niagara N4. Responsibilities will be aligned with candidates’ skills and experience, with opportunities to learn and grow. The position involves working on building automation and HVAC controls projects, supporting installation and bringing systems online, and collaborating with project teams and customers.

Requirements

Experience with building automation, HVAC controls, or temperature control systems.
Hands-on familiarity with Niagara N4.
Experience in one or more of installation, startup, service, troubleshooting, programming, or commissioning.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and control drawings.
Familiarity with commercial HVAC equipment and how controls support system operation.
Willingness to learn, solve problems, and work with a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Ability to work on active construction sites and use ladders and lift equipment.
Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations.

Nice To Haves

Niagara N4 certification.
Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or networking.
Technical or trade training.

Responsibilities

Install controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, and related BAS equipment.
Run, label, and terminate low-voltage wiring and communication cables.
Read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and HVAC sequences of operation.
Perform system startup, point-to-point checkout, and functional testing.
Use Niagara N4 to support system configuration, graphics, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot wiring, device, communication, and system operation issues.
Assist with programming and controls adjustments based on experience.
Work with project managers, technicians, and other trades to keep projects moving.
Document field changes, testing results, and project completion details.
Help customers understand system operation and basic controls functions.
