About The Position

EMCOR Services Automated Controls is a turnkey solution provider of building automation and energy management systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, and other facilities. We specialize in designing and installing advanced automation solutions with intuitive and interactive graphical user interfaces. EMCOR Services Automated Controls is seeking to fill a BAS Service Technician III position in our Louisville or Lexington, KY location with local travel. The Controls Service Technician position is a critical role for service and support of construction and maintenance projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years related experience in controls/mechanical industry.
  • Excellent customer relations and communications skilled required.
  • Must be self-motivated, goal and results oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail.
  • Must be efficient at scheduling and meeting commitments for multiple customers.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Controls service experience preferred.
  • Mechanical service experience preferred.
  • Service estimation experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, Trane, JCI and other control systems preferred.
  • MET Technical Degree, MES Journeyman, or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of the controls service industry and contract documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled controls preventative maintenance for various building automation systems
  • Perform technical startup/checkout/commissioning of building automation systems
  • Perform service call troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of building automation systems
  • Provide remote support for building automation customers
  • Manage estimated preventative maintenance hours on assigned contracts
  • Complete service ticket reports for all preventative maintenance accounts and T&M projects
  • Coordinate with Service Team Lead for proposals or extra work required
  • Log maintenance tasks via building automation system
  • Communicate with customer on tasks completed and hours spent
  • Acquire service ticket signatures as required
  • Maintain all safety standards and compliance documentation
