About The Position

Albireo Energy is seeking motivated self-starters for the installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) in commercial buildings such as hospitals, schools, and office buildings. This position involves the installation of conduit and wiring of devices and controllers for BAS. The technician must be capable of reading and interpreting MEP plans & specifications, and BAS Submittal Drawings. A valid driver’s license is required, and applicants must qualify to operate a company vehicle. Level-3 installers work independently on multiple projects, maintain inventory, support apprentices, and troubleshoot system issues. They must have a complete understanding of company processes, procedures, and products. Additional duties include performing point-to-point checkout, completing project documentation, and identifying change order opportunities. A Journeyman’s License in the State of Nebraska is required, along with 4+ years of experience.

Requirements

GED or high school diploma with at least one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Clean criminal history.
Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify to operate a company vehicle.
Must possess documented experience/training on various systems and controls.
Ability to work overtime, varied shift hours and occasional travel as needed.
Effectively able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, contractors, supervisor, and fellow team members.
Work independently and as a team member.
Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, twist, stand and climb stairs and ladders.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects and prioritize based on departmental functions.
Journeyman’s License in the State of Nebraska.
4+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

Strong computer skills are necessary for Level 3, and would be preferred, but not a necessity for Level 1-2.

Responsibilities

Assist teammates as needed.
Installation of control wiring, control components, EMT conduit, reading and understanding electrical diagrams, working from ladders.
Reading MEP plans and other Construction documents.
Provide status reports of work related to any project involvement.
Troubleshooting abilities.
Possesses or willing to obtain OSHA Safety Certificate.
Laying out the installation of multiple projects without supervision.
Maintaining accurate inventory counts on the job site.
Supporting apprentices needs with the installation of electrical conduit, electrical conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation material.
Performing point-to-point checkout.
Completing thorough project documentation.
Identifying change order opportunities.
