About The Position

The BAS Controls Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining building automation systems (BAS) for a large mechanical company with a dedicated controls division. This role involves working closely with controls installations, start-up, and termination of equipment and programs. The technician will also be responsible for communicating with building owners, end-users, and general contractors, and will work collaboratively in a team environment. The company has been in business for over 60 years, employs over 3,000 people nationwide, and serves clients in education (K-12 and higher education), commercial high-rises, healthcare, labs, and critical environments through service projects, retrofits, and new construction.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Controls Technician or similar position
  • Well versed in troubleshooting controls BAS systems
  • Knowledge of controls programming
  • Experience rewriting sequences
  • Fundamental understanding of testing building automation systems
  • Strong understanding of commissioning protocols and point to point check outs
