About The Position
A premier mechanical contractor in the Greater Boston region is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician to support its expanding Building Automation division. This role includes hands-on commissioning, calibration, programming, and service of control systems across a broad mix of commercial and institutional facilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Building Automation and DDC programming experience
- Experience with systems such as JCI Metasys, Siemens Apogee, or comparable platforms
- Strong understanding of HVAC integration and PID loop tuning
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams

Responsibilities
- Calibrate sensors and verify accuracy on HVAC control systems
- Tune PID loops to improve building automation and system performance
- Assist in control system layout and integration based on project requirements
- Develop and implement programming, graphics, and operating sequences for DDC systems
- Perform equipment overrides, functional testing, and maintenance checks
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend repair or upgrade solutions
- Prepare estimates and proposals for BAS improvements
- Lead or support startup, commissioning, and verification of system modifications
