About The Position
This position is for a BAS Programmer in Nashville, TN, with a large HVAC Mechanical Company that has a Controls Division. The role involves programming and configuring custom applications, performing check-out and commissioning of BAS Systems, and creating controls databases from scratch. The programmer will also mentor and train team members, coordinate and manage BAS support technicians, and manage programs from start to finish.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a BAS Programmer or similar position
- Familiar with BAS communication protocols, specifically BACnet, LON and Modbus
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve any issues within systems
Responsibilities
- Program and configure custom applications from scratch or prepackaged libraries
- Perform check-out and commissioning of BAS Systems
- Communicate effectively with technicians and PMs in the field and other related staff
- Create controls databases from scratch
- Mentor and train other team members
- Coordinate and manage BAS support technicians
- Manage programs from start to finish and ensure they cover all requirements
