About The Position

Deer Valley Resort is seeking a Bartender for the Winter 2026-27 season. This role is responsible for interacting with guests and ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience. You will be supporting one of several restaurant locations within the resort.

Requirements

• MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
• Possess a S.M.A.R.T. Card certification and Utah Food Handlers certification
• Must be able to work well with other employees, be able to learn quickly and handle pressure well
• Must be flexible with schedule and available to work weekends and holidays
• Able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment
• Outstanding guest relation skills
• Able to lift and carry 25-50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, withstand frequent up-and-down/ twisting/repetitive movements, and reach with hands/arms to handle objects, tools or controls

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage orders
• Prepare alcoholic drinks and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control laws
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed
• Prepare purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of beverage products, menus, and promotions
• Other duties as assigned
