The Bartender is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety procedures and health standards. This role requires regular and reliable attendance, punctual presence during scheduled work hours, and proper maintenance of uniforms, including a gaming license. The Bartender will sell and prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks, providing quality customer service by answering questions and encouraging bar service purchases. Key responsibilities include maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and organized bar, monitoring liquor controls, managing cash flow according to procedures to prevent loss and theft, and maintaining the integrity of cash and comp transactions. The Bartender must monitor guests for intoxication, discontinue alcohol sales if necessary, and inform security and management. They will also alert supervisors and security about difficult or potentially violent guests, coordinate with Cocktail Servers, and promote various casino events and services. Developing positive guest and employee relations is crucial, as is selling change to guests upon request. All duties must be performed in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and internal policies. The Bartender should alert supervisors to any concerns regarding beverage quality, selection, variety, or equipment, and comply with security policies. Maintaining alertness and general awareness of bar operations, exercising caution, and evaluating circumstances for appropriate responses are essential. Supervisors should be kept informed of any concerns, and customers must be verified to be 21+ years of age. Additional tasks and special projects may be assigned as needed.
