About The Position

Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks a Part Time Bartender in Shaughnessy's Pub to greet and serve guests according to standards. This role involves maintaining the bar setup, stocking inventory, preparing garnishes, greeting guests, mixing and serving drinks, handling transactions, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a team-player attitude, understanding that every associate is a guest relations ambassador.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
• Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Abides by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest.
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
• Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Complies with attendance rules and is available to work on a regular basis.
• Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
