About The Position

The Fairmont is looking for a Bartender who is passionate about service and guest experience! This role involves consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service, maintaining a professional yet engaging interaction with guests and colleagues, and assisting guests with beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way. The Bartender will also be responsible for mixing drinks, controlling beverage stock, and having full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, and menu items including garnishes, contents, and preparation methods. Adherence to outlet policies, service standards, and safety/sanitation policies is crucial. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Proven mixology knowledge and experience.
• Excellent knowledge of all beverage products
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
• Must have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
