About The Position

Bartenders create a guest-oriented experience by taking and serving orders, collecting payment, clearing and cleaning the bar, and interacting with guests. The role includes preparing the bar and drinks, providing customer service, and following responsible alcohol-service practices.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior bartender experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed.
• Ability to carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work outside in hot and inclement weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Prior knowledge of a POS system; ability to learn new systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-quality customer service to guests.
• Prepare and set up the bar, including liquor, fruit, and garnishes.
• Take orders and prepare drinks.
• Use the POS system to ring orders, print checks, and collect payment.
• Know the bar and food menus and services.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area.
• Restock condiments as needed.
• Check customers’ identification to verify age requirements for purchasing alcohol.
• Balance checks at the end of the shift.
• Make reasonable efforts to limit issues and liability related to serving alcohol, such as checking IDs and cutting guests off when appropriate.
• Clean the service area, work areas, and tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
