About The Position

The Bartender provides drink service to bar patrons in a professional manner in accordance with state law. This role involves mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, monitoring customers for intoxication, and coordinating with servers for timely service. The Bartender is also responsible for securing alcohol, handling customer complaints, maintaining a clean work area, and suggesting higher-cost products to increase ticket averages. Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be 19 years old or older.
One year previous bartending experience required.
Knowledge of the various aspects of mixology required.
Must be able to guide, coach, and work well with a team.
Must be skilled at managing conflict and influencing outcomes.
Must be adept at multi-tasking.
Excellent verbal communication skills required.
Must be able to follow detailed instructions precisely.

Nice To Haves

Tips Card or Alcohol Serve Safe Certificate preferred.
Cashiering skills preferred.
Excellent written communication skills preferred.
Presentation and organizational skills preferred.
Should understand the theory of progressive discipline.

Responsibilities

Check identification for all guests that appear under the age of 30 and attempting to purchase alcohol in accordance.
Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and procedures.
Monitor customers and discontinue service when they appear to be intoxicated.
Work with House Detective and Security officer on any incidents that require documentation that occur while on shift.
Coordinate with servers to ensure timely and accurate service to guests.
Secure alcohol during non-operational hours in accordance with all applicable local, county, and state liquor laws.
Handle customer complaints in an appropriate manner.
Clean up after customers leave your work area.
Suggest higher cost products to produce higher ticket averages.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
