Requirements

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a hotel, restaurant, or similar establishment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage mixing techniques and recipes.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with diverse clientele.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Mobility to move quickly between tasks and around the bar area.
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Certification in TABC and Texas Food Handler’s.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Serve Beverages: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel recipes and guest preferences.
  • Customer Service: Provide attentive and friendly service to guests at the bar and in the hotel lounge area.
  • Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the beverage menu, including specials and promotions.
  • Upselling: Recommend and upsell drinks and additional services to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar tools and equipment.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all alcohol service regulations and hotel policies.
  • Inventory Control: Assist in monitoring beverage inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Cash Handling: Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
