Requirements

Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in the industry and marketplace.
Knowledge of cocktail recipes.
Professional and courteous demeanor.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to company values.
Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors.
Fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.
Regularly reaches with hands and arms.
Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits.
Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS).

Responsibilities

Stocks the bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control and inventory, and maintains inventory records.
Assists department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and menu development.
Assists department leaders with the social media schedule and content creation.
Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
Performs opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions.
Utilizes the Point of Sale system.
Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
Occasionally serves meals to guests.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
