About The Position

The Bartender position involves core responsibilities divided into Job Function and Professionalism and Style Expectations. Job functions account for 90% of the performance appraisal, focusing on the substance of the job, while Professionalism and Style account for 10%, focusing on how the job is performed. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of the English language for effective communication with guests, associates, and vendors, the ability to report information accurately, and strict adherence to all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures. Attending required meetings is also part of the job function. Professionalism includes personal effectiveness, such as completing projects thoroughly and professionally, adjusting to high-pressure conditions, assuming responsibility for personal growth, and conducting oneself professionally in conduct and dress. Communication involves understanding and conveying the StepStone Mission and Core Values, expressing ideas clearly and effectively, actively listening, timely communication of company information, and respectful resolution of disagreements.

Requirements

  • Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, typing.
  • Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
  • High school education preferred.
  • Relevant training and experience required.
  • CPR training and first aid training preferred.
