About The Position

Glenwild Golf Club & Spa is seeking professional, energetic Bartenders to join their experienced food & beverage staff for the Summer season, starting in late April. As a Bartender, you will play a major role in ensuring members and their guests have an enjoyable dining or bar experience. This role requires consistency in following bar recipes and may involve taking care of bar tables or assisting servers. The ideal candidate is organized, can think and act quickly and effectively while maintaining composure, is guest-sensitive, possesses a sense of timing, takes pride in their personal appearance, and shows dedication to their job.

Requirements

  • Prior bartending experience.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Familiarity with standard drink recipes.
  • Pleasant and helpful service-oriented attitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Able to work weekdays and weekend evenings.
  • Ability to work any day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Must have or obtain Alcohol Servers Certificate and Food Handler's Permit.
  • Must have professional appearance and follow the dress code.
  • Be dependable, on-time, and a hard worker.
  • Have dependable transportation or a reliable way to get to Kimball Junction.

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for member and guest satisfaction in all food and beverage operations, including dining, banquets, and bar service.
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to members and their guests.
  • Cross-train and perform duties of all food and beverage service positions as scheduled or needed, using standard operating procedures.
  • Welcome each member personally, communicating with them using clear and enthusiastic words, tone, and body language.
  • Work as a team with all Glenwild personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and efficient food and beverage service.
  • Keep all areas cleaned and stocked to Glenwild standards at all times.
  • Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of the bar and dining room, following standard recipes.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Wash and sterilize stemware.
  • Be attentive and offer assistance before the member has to ask for it.
  • Learn member names and their favorite drinks.
