About The Position

Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is looking for Bartenders to join our team. Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is a revolutionized dining, drinking and entertainment establishment across from Delta Center in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway. Owned and operated by Las Vegas-headquartered Carver Road Hospitality, the complex will feature a restaurant, three bars, 400-square-feet of LED screens, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a central nightclub and a cocktail lounge with bowling. Open seven days a week, the restaurant will serve American bar and grill food favorites along with more eclectic offerings and playfully crafted desserts, all freshly prepared in the full kitchen.

Requirements

  • Previous beverage/bartending experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing all alcoholic beverages for guests.
  • Actively taking orders, conducting full and complete food and beverage service, and monitoring guests’ bar and dining experience.
  • Interacting with guests, employees, and supervisors in a polite, respectful, and courteous manner.
  • Maintaining professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Anticipating and accommodating the needs of the guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Presenting menus, answering questions, and making suggestions for all food and beverage items.
  • Informing guests of all food and beverage specials, with prices.
  • Soliciting allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest.
  • Accurately entering all orders into the POS system and following proper cash/payment card procedures.
  • Ensuring the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests at the bar and lounge (where applicable).
  • Maintaining general cleanliness of bar and bar area, and the entire venue.
  • Ensuring all liquor displays and shelving are organized, and par levels are maintained.
  • Creating a fun energetic environment.
  • Serving all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards.
  • Protecting establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Accurately completing all end-of-shift financial procedures.
  • Communicating the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Back-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs.
  • Properly setting-up the bar stations, performing side-work, and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
  • Properly following all beverage requisition procedures.
  • Reporting all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attending and participating in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Updating knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Portraying a positive and professional attitude.
  • Working as part of a team and providing help and support to all employees.
