About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcohol to guests in a manner consistent with the standards of the Cigar Lounge. This role involves formulating beverages according to established recipes, serving guests in compliance with MAST and guest service standards, and managing transactions accurately. The Bartender also provides table service when needed, requisitions supplies, and initiates superior guest service by recommending drink selections and informing guests of specials. A key aspect of the role is utilizing MAST Training to prevent and recognize potential alcohol-related concerns. Additionally, the Bartender is responsible for setting up and closing work stations according to established procedures and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Eighteen (18) months of bartending experience
  • Previous successful Restaurant and/or Bar experience.
  • One (1) year of cash handling and knowledge of balancing your bank.
  • Above average knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer products.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year cash handling and reconciliation.
  • One (1) year computerized Point-of-Sale (POS) System
  • Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO).
  • Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission.
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate beverages according to established recipes
  • Serve guests in compliance with MAST and guest service standards.
  • Rings up each transaction on the cash register and makes the correct change.
  • Provides table service in the lounge using tray in the absence of a Beverage Server.
  • Requisition supplies for work station to maintain necessary parts and monitor quality of product.
  • Initiate and establish superior guest service, including recommendation of drink selection and informing of specials and product knowledge.
  • Utilize and implement MAST Training to prevent and recognize potential alcohol related concerns.
  • Set up and close work stations in compliance with established procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
