About The Position

At Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, the Bars & Lounge team plays a key role in delivering warm, memorable hospitality. The resort is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and guest-focused Bartender to craft quality beverages, provide outstanding service, and help create an inviting atmosphere for guests from around the world. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages with consistency, accuracy, and professionalism. This role involves guest interaction, cocktail preparation, inventory support, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring all alcohol service follows state laws and resort standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment where teamwork, communication, and hospitality are essential, demonstrating excellent guest service skills, efficiency under pressure, and a positive, outgoing attitude.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong cocktail-making knowledge
• Ability to upsell
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Warm, personable, and attentive with the ability to create memorable experiences
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain composure in a busy environment
• Must meet state requirements for alcohol service
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Lift up to 30 lbs.
• Work in a fast-paced setting
• Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years bartending or beverage service experience preferred
• Resort or high-volume experience a plus
• TIPS or similar certification preferred
