Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong working knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails.
  • Willing to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to think clearly, can remain calm, and solve problems using good judgment
  • 1+ years of bartending experience preferable in hospitality
  • High School or equivalent preferred
  • One must be a minimum of 20 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages to hotel guest per KY Liquor Law

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to guests by promptly welcoming and courteously serving guests in a can-do fashion, engaging in polite conversation when time allow.
  • Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company�s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department.
  • Responsible for stocking station and completing pre and post job duties as outlined by management
  • Anticipate guests� needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving
  • Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
  • Up-sell drink orders
  • Maintain complete knowledge of Point-of-Sales (POS) systems
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Assist with setup and break down of food and beverage items within the restaurant and event spaces
  • All other duties as assigned
