LodgeWorks is actively hiring for a Bartender at SKY & VINE ROOFTOP BAR. Join a dynamic, downtown Napa, California team that manages Sky & Vine Rooftop Bar, as well as all food and beverage outlets within Archer Hotel Napa. Set six stories above buzzing downtown Napa, Sky & Vine Rooftop Bar is an open-air destination for hotel guests and locals. A covered bar, comfy lounge seating and modern rockers around fire pits create the perfect ambiance to savor shareable plates, crafted cocktails, a vast array of spirits, draft beers, and specially selected wines. Free garage parking is nearby for employees.

Requirements

Capable of exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally.
Capable of standing for an entire shift or for an extended amount of time.
Capable of reaching overhead, utilizing both hands, leaning over, stooping and kneeling.

Nice To Haves

Experienced in using a POS.
At least 1 year of previous bartending experience.

Responsibilities

Observe customers as they enter the bar area and ensure that they are greeted promptly and seated in a timely and friendly manner.
Verify ID and age of guests when necessary.
Know how to make traditional and classic cocktails, as well as specialty cocktails listed on menu.
Check in regularly with every guest to ensure satisfaction with food and drinks.
Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.
Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per LodgeWorks standards.
Record and balance receipts properly; close all checks daily.
Complete all opening and closing side work.
Communicate all allergy and dietary restriction information when applicable.
Maintain pre-batched cocktails, liquor inventory, wine inventory and bar supplies.
Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
Build rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.
Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position, including Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc.
Abide by all federal, state and corporate food and alcohol laws and policies.
Maintain stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
Immediately report any equipment or bar maintenance problems to the Manager.
Ensure that tips are properly reported for tax purposes.
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, including counters, sinks, utensils, glassware, shelves and storage.
Memorize food, cocktail and wine list menus.
Providing customer service to LodgeWorks standards during the dining experience.
Assist in any other tasks as requested by management.
