About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the bar setup, stocking inventory, preparing and serving drinks, handling guest orders and payments, and ensuring compliance with all serving regulations. The bartender will also be responsible for securing the bar at the end of their shift and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar.
  • Ability to requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce.
  • Ability to maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables.
  • Ability to greet guests courteously and friendly.
  • Ability to promote and document orders for drinks.
  • Ability to mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to input orders into a register at the point of sale.
  • Ability to create a check for each guest.
  • Ability to receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
  • Ability to balance all moneys.
  • Ability to lock up and store all beverage, food, and other equipment items.
  • Ability to deposit cash drops and secure bank.
  • Compliance with attendance rules.
  • Availability to work on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis, including requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
  • Maintains stock, cuts, and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
  • Greets guests courteously and friendly, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
  • Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
  • Abides by all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
  • Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage, food, and other equipment items, deposits cash drops, and secures bank.
  • Complies with attendance rules and is available to work on a regular basis.
  • Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
