About The Position

The Distillery Restaurants Corp. is seeking an experienced and motivated Bartender with a strong serving background and a passion for creating flawless dining experiences. The ideal candidates will understand that exceptional guest service is at the heart of hospitality and will act as ambassadors to Toronto's unique food and beverage culture. Our Bartenders provide beautifully crafted cocktails to guests in a high volume, fast-paced environment. You'll have an exceptional understanding of mixology and quality control, with a notable passion and desire to learn more about wines and inspired cocktails. You must already have a passion for mixing beautiful cocktails and a friendly smile for guests and colleagues alike. This position is seasonal and will end in January 2027. Applicants must have legal permission to work in Canada.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) year's experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Experience with a point-of-sale system, preferably Silverware, is considered an asset
  • You must have a valid Smart Serve certification
  • Bartenders must be able to carefully listen to orders, explain food and beverage items and make recommendations
  • Our ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced, changing environment with ease
  • We're looking for a life-long learner with an insatiable desire to positively impact the experience of our guests and restaurant reviews
  • You must already have legal permission to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Any related training certifications are highly valued
  • A degree/diploma in food and beverage, hospitality management is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit, encourage and motivate the DRC’s beliefs and core values
  • Commit to mastering a complete working knowledge of the drinks menu and ingredients
  • Ensure all beverage descriptions, promotions and any other information are clearly communicated to guests and team members
  • Check identification to ensure all guests are of age to consume alcohol
  • Mix ingredients, garnish glasses and serve alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely manner
  • Accommodate guest allergies and special requests accordingly
  • Process payments; provide accurate billing and support documents for any Credit Card(s), Gift Card(s), Gift Certificate(s), etc. accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean work station while adhering to food safety, sanitation and hygiene guidelines set by the Public Health Department and the Company
  • Other duties as assigned or required
