About The Position
At Amore Italian Restaurant & Lounge, bartenders play an important role in promoting and selling menu and beverage offerings by sharing extensive knowledge. They assist guests in choosing the perfect items to accompany their meal. The bar is an integral part of the restaurant, and bartenders are expected to provide incredible customer service, ensuring guests feel valued and appreciated. This position is ideal for individuals looking to work in a restaurant featuring hand-crafted cocktails, local beers, and an inviting environment. This is a tipped position, with pay at the NYS minimum for tipped employees ($10.70/hr. plus $5.30/hr. tip credit when applicable) plus tips.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and related specialty beverages
- Must be 21 years of age
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a bartender or server in a fast casual restaurant
- Alcohol Server certification
- ServSafe Alcohol certification
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service by serving guests in a courteous, attentive and efficient manner
- Maintain the bar area, place drink orders and prepare drinks to order
- Create a positive and energetic atmosphere while serving guests
- Study menu changes to grow your food and beverage knowledge
- Provide guests with a reason to return by building rapport and creating a memorable experience
