Bartender - Amore by Wegmans
About The Position
At Amore Italian Restaurant & Louge, our bartenders play an important role with our guests to promote and sell items by sharing extensive knowledge about our menu and beverage offerings. In addition, you will assist guests in choosing the perfect items to accompany their meal. The bar is an integral part of our restaurant, so it is key that our bartenders take pride in providing incredible customer service that ensures our guests feel valued and appreciated. If you're looking to work in a restaurant that features hand-crafted cocktails, local beers and an inviting environment, this could be the job for you! This is a tipped position. Pay is the NYS minimum for tipped employees ($10.70/hr. plus $5.30/hr. tip credit when applicable) plus tips.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and related specialty beverages
- Must be 21 years of age
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a bartender or server in a fast casual restaurant
- Alcohol Server certification
- ServSafe Alcohol certification
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service by serving guests in a courteous, attentive and efficient manner
- Maintain the bar area, place drink orders and prepare drinks to order
- Create a positive and energetic atmosphere while serving guests
- Study menu changes to grow your food and beverage knowledge
- Provide guests with a reason to return by building rapport and creating a memorable experience
