About The Position

Bartenders have extensive knowledge of common drinks which they use to recommend drinks to customers, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines. Bartenders also entertain customers who sit at the bar by providing stimulating conversation and excellent customer service while filling drink orders for other customers. Their role is to ensure that customers are of legal drinking age and then prepare a requested drink to their specifications.

Requirements

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails.
• Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings.
• Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.
• Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
• Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
• Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to reliably commute to on-site location.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be over the age of 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Recommend drinks to customers based on extensive knowledge of common drinks.
• Prepare cocktails, pour beers, and properly decant wines.
• Entertain customers at the bar with stimulating conversation and excellent customer service.
• Ensure customers are of legal drinking age.
• Prepare requested drinks to customer specifications.
• Maintain inventory and process payments.
• Operate a Point Of Sale (POS) system, including Kitchen Display System (KDS).
