Come join the team at Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club as a full-time Bartender at the Wheelhouse Café! Located directly on the St. Johns River, the Wheelhouse Café features a full-service bar and dining room serving our adult, family, and children’s pool areas. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in creating an exceptional member experience. Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand written and verbal directions in English at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with members, guests, colleagues, and management.
At least six months of bartending, food and beverage, or private-club service experience required.
Previous experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system required.
Must meet all applicable age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
Must possess a working knowledge of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, classic cocktails, and proper pouring techniques.
Must understand responsible alcohol service, bar sanitation, glassware, beverage presentation, cash and member-account handling, and appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
Must be able to stand and move at a quick pace for several hours at a time.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 35 pounds, including furniture, glassware, dishes, ice, beer, wine, liquor, beverage racks, trays, and cases.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a private club, luxury resort, hotel, restaurant, or similar service-focused environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides exceptional beverage and dining service to members and their guests at the Wheelhouse Café.
Prepares and serves beverages accurately.
Maintains a clean and fully stocked bar.
Recognizes and uses members’ names.
Anticipates member needs.
Contributes to a positive team environment.
Arrives to work on time, consistently, and be prepared for each scheduled shift.
Maintains a professional, welcoming appearance and complies with all Club uniform and grooming standards, including wearing a name tag.
Completes all opening, closing, and assigned side work thoroughly and on time.
Sets up the bar before service, ensuring that liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and supplies are properly stocked and organized.
Attends pre-shift meetings to review daily specials, events, service expectations, and other relevant information.
Greets members and their guests immediately with a smile and provides prompt, attentive service.
Prepares and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to Club recipes, presentation standards, and responsible-service guidelines.
Maintains knowledge of available beverages, menu offerings, daily specials, and Club events.
Makes beverage recommendations and answers member and guest questions accurately and professionally.
Monitors alcohol consumption and follows all Club policies and applicable laws regarding responsible alcohol service.
Accurately enters orders into the POS system and processes member checks in a timely manner.
Maintains a clean, sanitary, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
Washes and polishes glassware and properly cleans bar tools, equipment, counters, coolers, and service areas.
Communicates effectively with servers, kitchen colleagues, Café Captains, and Food and Beverage management to ensure efficient service.
Checks identification when required and follows all applicable alcohol-service regulations.
Closes and verifies all member checks at the end of the shift.
Completes checkout procedures and submits required paperwork to the Café Captain or Food and Beverage Manager.
Reports equipment concerns, inventory shortages, member concerns, or safety issues promptly to management.
Assists with dining-room or poolside service when needed to support an exceptional member experience.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Café Captain or Food and Beverage Manager.
