About The Position

The Bartender position at Indigo Sky Casino is a full-time role responsible for selling, mixing, and serving alcoholic beverages and food to customers. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to manage transactions, maintain bar stock, and ensure a clean and safe environment for patrons. The Bartender must be able to professionally handle customer interactions, including refusing service to intoxicated individuals, and accurately manage tabs and payments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience
  • Computer skills
  • 1 year of bartending experience
  • Previous cash handling skills
  • Above average oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Problem solving capability
  • High capacity for learning mixture of beverage drinks
  • Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.
  • Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma liquor license.
  • Observant, able to accept criticism, visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer questions and complaints relating to the beverage department.
  • Ability to maneuver in the casino, visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer questions and complaints.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for 7 1/2 hours per day.
  • Good dexterity in fingers, to be able to hold and manipulate product or machinery.
  • Able to work in hot and cold temperature extremes.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and push or pull a flatbed cart weighing up to 300lbs.
  • Must be able to stretch, bend, kneel, twist and reach.
  • Must be able to taste, feel, smell, see and be able to read, write and speak basic English.

Responsibilities

  • Sell, mix, and serve alcoholic beverages and food to customers from behind a bar.
  • Read and check customer identification to confirm legal drinking age.
  • Receive money and/or credit cards and use a credit card machine and POS system.
  • Keep the bar well stocked by maintaining liquor and glasses.
  • Professionally refuse to serve customers who have had too much to drink.
  • Keep accurate records of tabs and collect the proper amount when a guest has finished.
  • Pour drinks quickly according to beverage guidelines.
  • Maintain the bar area to keep it clean.
  • Wear required uniforms and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Change kegs, restock liquor and glassware.
  • Maneuver in the casino, observe and react to handle customer questions and complaints relating to the beverage department.
