About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Bartender to provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service, display salesmanship, and friendly hospitality at the bar. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 21
  • Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance and to be respectful of everyone.
  • Thorough knowledge of proper service and etiquette.
  • Must have passed Bar Apprentice Program.
  • Read, write, and speak English in order to communicate with guests and employees.
  • Obtain Alcohol Awareness.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a high-volume restaurant is required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.

  • Adhere to Health Regulations, ensuring that your work area is clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift.
  • Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
  • Work your shift with an advanced level of speed, organization, and accuracy.
  • Proper safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assure that food and beverages are presented according to the guest’s specifications, Pool Menus, Recipes and Plate Specifications.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Use proper stock rotation and storage areas.
  • Cut and stock bar fruit (garnishes) to bring up to PAR.
  • Pool Manager of any needed supplies.
  • Pool Manager of any issues/problems that arise, immediately.
  • Know location of all Golden Nugget outlets and services that are available to the guests.
  • Complete special projects as requested by Pool Managers.
  • Complete car checklist and daily beer count.
  • Turnover/take over station/shift according to established procedures (Close to Open).
  • Display a friendly/warm hospitality while greeting as guest enter.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings.
  • Take care of any special needs that the guest may desire or need.
  • Check to ensure that the bar top is properly and completely set.
  • Communicate with your Bartender, Bar Porter, Pool Servers and Pool Attendants.
  • Make sure that orders are delivered to the guests or servers immediately to ensure promptness and to keep the service well moving.
  • Accurately input orders into the Aloha system with position numbers.
  • Keep the service well organized using the established systems and procedures. Ensure that every ticket that prints out at the bar has the drinks made within 3 minutes.
  • Thank the guests, be check ready at all times, present the check, and settle checks according to established procedures, invite guests to return and create an experience for them that will develop into guest loyalty.
  • Notify a Pool Manager of any Employee Discount, Black Card, or needed Comp.
  • Give all lost and found items to the Pool Manager.
