About The Position

Palmetto Bluff is an award-winning 20,000-acre development nestled along the May River in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, situated between Hilton Head Island and Savannah. This development features a private member’s only club, which includes a marina, various restaurants, an equestrian center, a shooting club, multiple golf courses (a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, The Crossroads Reversable King Collins Golf Course, and Anson Point Golf Course designed by Coore and Crenshaw), a lawn and racquet club, and a community farm. Additionally, Palmetto Bluff boasts an extensive nature preserve, walking trails, retail shopping, an art gallery, and a vibrant village, all designed to honor the region’s rich heritage. The Bartender position at Cole's requires direct interaction with guests, taking their orders, crafting cocktails according to company service standards, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. This role also involves maintaining an issued cash bank throughout the shift and actively contributing as a business partner to support the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ restaurant experience and/or 2 years’ experience bartending in a similar establishment.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Food
  • Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills and a Positive attitude are required
  • Ability to read and write in English proficiently
  • Must have basic math skills and be able to use a calculator
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • All Palmetto Bluff employees who serve alcohol or who oversee employees who serve alcohol must obtain or hold a valid SC-approved Alcohol Server Training Certificate (company reimbursed).

Responsibilities

  • Consistently following Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs
  • Exhibiting proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the bar
  • Anticipating the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency
  • Cleaning of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining equipment in good working order while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department.
  • Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or other Associates.
